In promoting trust and ensuring high performance and competency, team members should first be willing to work with each other. During the introduction stage, each member should explain what he or she is bringing to the team. People tend to trust someone whom they know something about. In this regard, the team members can assign one of them an important task that requires high competency and trustworthiness. Moreover, every team member should be willing to answer personal questions whenever called upon to do so. Ultimately, these actions will help in promoting trust in a virtual team.
In order to promote trust in respect to integrity, the leadership roles should be rotated among the team members on a regular basis.
